Over 12 years ago I was a broke student, going to the bookies on my breaks from uni with a mate to kill time.

I couldn't pick a winner to save my life, so I threw a scrunched up betting slip across the Laddies in Lincoln.

I said out loud... 'If I could bet horses to lose, I'd be loaded!'

Then an old boy turned around and said: 'You need Betfair mate!'

I rushed home, skipped my lectures and threw my student loan into Betfair.

Laying horses was my first port of call and I loved it.

You're a lot like me, I bet; when you find something you want to delve into it.

That's when I found the official Betfair Forum.

Hundreds of people talking everyday about betting & trading.

I thought: “Trading - I am having some of this! I know a lot about Football. I bet I can do that”.

Turns out trading is much different from watching it.

I tried every sport, every strategy you can think of. I failed at them all.

Why was everybody making it more complicated? Telling me things only to confuse me.

Surely there's a simpler way? Turns out there is. I picked one strategy, it was Lay The Draw.

I kept my trading simple. I started to break down my trades into 3 parts.

I researched them and created a plan.

Does this work for any sport?
